Born in Sydney in 1975, Linton Meagher studied art at the Julian Ashton School and at the University of Sydney, completing a Bachelor of Arts, majoring in Fine Arts, in 1996.

Meagher’s work explores the ways that various mass-produced objects can be taken out of their usual context and presented in ways that challenge the viewer to question their wider meaning in society. Meagher’s work has evolved from traditional oil on canvas works to mixed media works using resin and perspex. His work is represented by Maunsell Wickes at Barry Stern Galleries, Sydney, The Cat Street Gallery, Hong Kong, and The COMODAA Gallery, London.

His work has been exhibited in solo exhibitions in London, Sydney and Hong Kong. Group exhibitions have included Sculpture by the Sea (2014 and 2017) and shows at The Space and The Cat Street Galleries, Hong Kong, COMODAA Gallery, London, the Singapore and Hong Kong Art Fairs (2010), Maunsell Wickes at Barry Stern Galleries and the Tin Sheds Gallery in Sydney. In addition to numerous private collections, corporate collections and commissions include Blackmores, St Vincent’s Hospital, Sydney, and the World Health Organisation.
